Bridal shoot | Los Angeles | Behind the Scenes

Day 1

Sometimes I will awake from sleep with an idea I can’t wait to execute. Most of the time I forget about it soon after and carry on with everyday life. This time however, it ate at my conscious thought and motivated me to get out there and do it.

The last month I’ve been working on a shoot I’m really excited about with some of the best wedding vendors in the Los Angeles area. Early this morning I awoke, boarded an airplane, and made my way from Chicago to the west coast.

Today marks day one of our behind the scenes adventure of a bridal shoot we can’t wait to execute and share.

We hope you enjoy following along.

Day 2

I awoke this morning to a california sunrise. It felt good to be woken by light for once instead of an alarm clock before 5 a.m. There were many things I had to do today, but none before McDonald’s breakfast.

The warehouse I visited for our wardrobe had to be one of the largest in the country, if not the world. I couldn’t believe the amount of inventory.

Hallie Slade of La Boheme Events has planned and coordinated the whole shoot tomorrow and I can’t even begin to explain how hard she’s worked, how well she’s done, and how much I appreciate her doing everything I am not capable of doing.

Stay tuned!

Day 3

An early wake up and a breathtaking drive down to Palos Verdes for load in and strike. The location was so amazing that I made three separate hikes down in my 3 year old TOMS before anyone else got there.

This honestly turned out to be one of the most perfect days I could think of. No hiccups really besides a bit of a hike with the equipment and props.

It was all worth it when we saw a whale! I kid you not…not that bugger showed his tail three times for us!

I can’t thank the crew enough for an amazing day, a great trip, and some really awesome things to photograph.

We can’t wait to share these with everyone!
